Actually, I ignore most simple rules questions because I'm sure they will be answered.

As a closet anarchist in a liberal's clothing, I'd have to say that the "Rules Wizard" idea is ok, but I'd rather do
with a simpler solution that involves self policing;

Don't send mail immediately.

That's it. Set your preferences for send later. That way, if you respond to a "Can rhinos carry 2 landraiders"
question, and you later find someone has already replied, you can erase it without sending it out. It also lets you
write a really hostile flame and delete it later for a more sane response. For instance, I'm sure I've accused Chris
of commiting several henious sex-acts with various implements that deep inside I knew were not only unlikely, but
physiological impossibilities. Thankfully I deleted them and went with more mundane flames.
