I don't know about that... Yes, in that it is based on a huge,
overstrained Empire, but the universe of Warhammer 40k is far too mystical
and even more prehistoric than that of Asimov's. The Empire of Asimov is
too unstable and allows for far too much freedom. I'd agree with the Dune
analogy as a better comparison.
