To clear up the Space Marine/IG army list debate, here is my two cents:

1. Space Marines and IG/Adeptus Mechanicus are _seperate armies_. That
is how they are meant to be played. I believe that in all but the largest
of battles (eg 6000+ points) they should be played seperately.

2. Thunderhawks are strictly Space Marine, IMHO. Besides, IQ are
footsloggers. What do they need a heavily armored troop transport for?
They don't!

3. I understand that a combined SM/IQ army can (and often is) be cheesy.
That is because they complement each other so well to create a greatly
specialized force that covers almost all the bases. Still, I very rarely
play such an army, and only with the consent of my opponents.

So to summarize, please don't assume that Space Marines are cheesy. Don't
assume that SM/IG armies are cheesy either, even though they can be, no
army is unbeatable!
