I was planning to put only 3 ogryns per stand and 2 rough riders per stand.
In addition for heavy weapons I was thinking to put those canons with one
servant only per stand using the old 2x2cm stand (instead of the GW way :
two canons, two servants and one tactical guy). What do you think about

And with which figs do you make your IG command units?

I've based mine up along fairly standard lines. Hvy squads are 2
autocannons, 2 loaders and 1 missile launcher/loader figure.

Tacticals vary, some use all Catachan jungle fighters, some use all
Valhallan ice warriors, 1 uses 1 commisar, 3 ice warriors and 1 missile
launcher loader figure.

Command stands use 1 captain, 1 comm link and 3 guardsman or 1
captain, 1 commlink , 1 primaris psyker, 1 guardsman and 1 missile
launcher/loader figure.

All are 'correct' figures for representing the units as they appear in 40K,
though there are no sergeants for the tactical squads, and the
price/number of figures makes me wonder about the wisdom of doing
conversions. :(
