Another item to consider is some of the precut sheet metal stands that
are made for the historical miniaturist.

I've attached some of the 20mm by 20mm from Wargames Accessory to the
bottom of older square bases I've go to add a little weight and allow
them to stick to sheet magnet carries I've been using for my historicals.
 They come in bags of 36 to 40 for a price of $4. These would be a tad
bit smaller than the square plastic bases but they should work.
