Which is why I would never put Lictors or a space marine scout detachment
into drop pods. In "reality" (Ach..... there's that word again) you
wouldn't assign a sniper to an M60 or a F16 pilot to an army platoon
performing a sweep and clear mission because to do so would be a misuse
of their respective talents.
Besides, the visual image I get of infiltrators using their ability after
leaving a drop pod seems really silly. First, you come screaming in
from high orbit with large flame trail. Then you either fire some
big-!_at_#$ retro-rockets (in the case of SM's) or smash into the ground
and bounce a few times a-la our last Mars probe (in the case of bugs).
Despite this rather dramatic announcement of your presence you are then
somehow able to stealth out another 30 cm to your disembarkment.
Anyway, that's just my opinions and impressions. As I said before,
It's perfectly legal.
