Well, here is the response to my post a while ago asking for summaries of
what the new Epic computer game (Redemption) is going to be like. He
private mailed me this to avoid making it seem like he was taking a cheap
shot at advertising, but I honestly think that most of you are interested
in this, and he has agreed to allow me to forward this to the list. He
also mailed me some pics of screenshots, but since they're 2 MB (less
zipped) I won't forward those too.
>> Could you give us a brief summary of some of the key features of the
game, >> and things that you think we would be interested in about the game?

And here are his responses to some of my questions:
>> I assume that making a campaign takes too long to consider making multiple
>> scenarios? Are there difficulty levels to add replay value to the
>> campaign? Can the campaign be played multiplayer?
> Yes as to the first. For the second, there will be difficulty levels
> as well as random force placements for each & every scenario in the
> campaign.
>
> Campaign is single-player only (damned video clips).
>> Can you make your own maps and scenarios?
> Scenarios yes, via the Quick Battle option. At this point, we won't
> be putting out the map editor.
>>Can the game be played over the Internet?
> Yup.

> Only reason is because some of the units we wanted to include don't
> exist (in any edition) of Epic. Other than that, we're following the
> E40K rules (so yes to supression & fire points).
>> Are you planning on adding in the Marauder, Thunderbolt and drop pods?
> As possible.
>> Are you actually going to have each of these infantry perform

is it that Catachan >> has no Tacticals?
> Mostly art differences, although they will do better in given
> scenarios based on the terrain type (i.e. Tallarn troops will do
> better in desert scenarios, etc.). As to the Catachan Tactical...
> hmnn... I'm not sure to tell you the truth. I'll check in to that.
>> Can these be fitted with all three missile rounds?
> Yup.
>> Did you give the Titans customizable weapons fits?
> Most definitely.
>> The Ork list looks pretty good except the noticable absence of
fighta-bommaz >> to provide air support, but I suppose you'll add those in.
> Correct. We're working on those now.
>> Are the lists complete or are you still adding in units? That Imperial

Well, if anyone has any constructive feedback or suggestions (obviously
they can't do anything like add in another army at this point, well maybe
they can, but I doubt it) I'm sure he'd be more than happy to see it.
