here is a plan to use up some of the old based stuff I have

once during your movement phase, you may "change bases"
go from the new base size to the old.
remove new based figure, replace with old size based figures.
handy for assaults and taking cover.

Afraid of templates? change back to the new size base in the next movement
phase.

maybe have a third !?! base size, even larger, for scouts and other
infiltrators.

Bases for everyone!
