I do not have the game, so I am really asking for it :P Come on, did the
fluff actually mentioned a few hundred millions ? GW has often been guilty
of fluffing their fluff. And to a historian/ gamer/ any sane human being
(genetically enhanced or otherwise) the sight of even a mere 100 000 beings
assaulting a hive in waves of 10 000 each time would make the orks seems
infinite. Thrown in the explosion, chaos, vehicles and numbers do get
distorted very easily.

And about 3000 marines coming in to save the day, it might be possible
(barely). The battle has been going on for months, both sides were tired and
depleted. Now if the SM comes in and hit at the communications, supply
lines, headquarters etc chances of them starting a rout is probable. BTW I
understand that the Imperium forces also had the Titan Legions (go
Imperators !) as reinforcements right after the SM assault. But of course
the SM would get all the credit. These guys are a lot more photogenics than
hooded, masked, cybernetically-enhanced Tech Priests. It is all a matter of
PR, I tell you.

Er, while I think I might have millions in Indonesian currency (worth approx
US 1000) I think a billion Indonesian currency will definitely make a
difference (to my lifestyle).
