Yes, woods do block line of sight, see page 18 of the rule book.
However, woods and buildings do not block LOS if one of the units
is in the terrain. So there is no more worrying about which side
of the woods you're on or if you are on the edge. If you are in
woods, you can shoot out and others can shoot in from any direction.
