the Grey Knights x2 CAF ability against D=

I would have to see how it balanced out in a g=

powerful <g>)...but could more see the Grey Knights mixe=
d in with
ordinary marines/terminators like the Exarch's, so instead you up=
grade
a marine tactical or terminator unit to have 'a Grey Knight present'.=

This way you can just add the cost to another detachment purely as an
upgr=
ade and make some cool mixed bases of say 4 marines in your
standard chapte=
r colours plus 1 Grey Knight.

The only problem=
I have with the "mix a few Grey Nights in with the
rest of the marines" id=
ea is that Grey Nights are not commanders.
They are specially trained mari=
nes that fight in _squads_, unlike
Exarchs, Warlocks, Commissars etc, and a=
hould be feilded as such. I
suggest instead limiting their numbers in your=
 army (see my other
post). Also, Grey Nights have even more hit and run ta=
ctics than
normal marines, so having them socialising with them on the grou=
nd
just doesn't really make sense to me. The come and go without talking
t=
o anyone. Heck, the majority of marines probably haven't even heard
of the=
m, they are so segregated.

Hmm... now that I have had a look at your other=
post your solution seems to make much more sense and is definitely more in=
character with the Grey Knights myth and history. The only problem I had w=
as with a large detachment of Knights pounding down the field, it just didn=
't seem right to me somehow as I always felt the Knights were more of an 'E=
lite' force...hit and fade like S.E.A.L's or the SAS <g>, not something you=
 found in quantity.

Your idea of limiting the quantity of Knights in the a=
rmy is a valid one...nicely argued.
