Yes, but what they mostly said is "GW screwed over the old SM/TL
players" which is a critism of GW as a company, not e40k as a game.
E40k is merely serving as the symbolic scapegoat for that
sense of betrayal. But it's just an inamimate game.
Saying "I hate e40k because GW screwed me over when they made it"
doesn't say anything about the game, though it does say alot
about GW and your feelings toward it. So in that sense, Erik
is very correct. While it explains why you don't like
e40k (because you don't like GW) it doesn't really give any
useful information about e40k itself.
You could argue that he should avoid GW games, because they are
an evil company. But that's not what was said. It was more
"GW is an evil company, so I prefer SM over e40k", which doesn't
really make any sense.

Bitter is a very apt description of what I've read. What I've read
is a group of people who who dislike e40k not for what it is, but
for what it represents.
The only legitamite gripes against e40k have been a small handful of
posts saying things like:
1 The close combat system is too variable.
2 I prefer targeting indivual units.
3 Units move too fast.
These are the kinds of issues that are relevent to question asked.
Not complaints like "GW is a bunch of b!_at_#$%^&s who don't give a rats'
ass about their customers". This may be true, but it's not really
the point.
