I agree with you Lemm but... Yes, there is a "but".
In the army book, the rules say (if my memory is good) that
holofields work as the *save* hability. My terminators always roll a a
save test before being wiped out in close combat, so I think that it
would be the same for the eldar titans before any damage...
On top of that, when you resolve you close combat against an eldar titan
you don't count the holofields so you should make the holofields save if
the Eldar WE loses...
