This is the part that bugs me, though. If you space your detachments
to account for this, you are putting a lot of effort into defending
against something that should not be a problem. Not allowing templates
to overlap until the detachment is covered is a way to get a better
average density for the target detachment, but then you don't get
the ability to assign your artillery to really blast the clump that
_is_ together.

I still like doing the barrage template firepower separately, but
doing the blast markers along with the rest of the FP. Only things
under a barrage template could be killed by barrages.
