Hi!
The exodites are in a sense more of a stand alone army than the necron, but by themselves they are hard pressed. The single game I played against them they were crushed. You just gotta have true slann in those armies for them to work.

Ture, i need more Slann Infantry. I'd like to use some other
miniatures than the ones i use for True Slann though (Inner
sphere battlearmor i think they're called).
The question here is, are the exodites a stand alone army?
If we compare them to the Necrons, which ive played stand alone,
i'd say nope!
