Hi!
  Sam,

I only play 6mm Epic and not 25mm 40k so I don't know much of the inofrmation that appears in the 25mm 40k books.

  Do Orks have genders?

As is usual with GW there's a few conflicting versions. Nominally I'd say no, but be aware there ARE ork cheerleaders for Blood Bowl.

I've only ever seen what I assumed were male Orks. Do females exist? Other genders?

  See above.

What's the relationship between Orks, Gretchin, and Squigs?
They're all part of Orkdom, right? Are they all part of the same species?

Orks, Gretchen and snotlings are the same species. Once long ago the Snotlings were the rulers. The famous brainboys of old. They ate a fungus on the ork homeworlds that made them smart. They bred the otehr variants such as Gretchen and Orks as labor. Unfortunately they ate the fungus too and became "smart". In one surge they ate all the fungus and doomed the brainboys to atrophy into snotlings. Now the former slaves are the masters.

Squigs are Ork pets and have a symbiotic relationship with orks. Squigs eat Ork excrement and waste so thats why they are kept around.

  How do Orks reproduce?
Your post below seems to indicate that they grow up from spores.

They reproduce asexually a peice or spore from one ork becomes another.

I always imagined that they started as Gretchin or Squigs and mutated into Orks as some kind of weird life cycle.

I know I've asked a few very odd questions so forgive me.

No doubt you'll hear some more stories.

  Peter

  Best regards to all,
  Maksim-Smelchak.

The original Ork hybrids were supposed to be stuffed because the Orks took so
long to reproduce that the cult couldn't grow to the point of causing anyone
any major hassle. But, the current race of Orks are particularly pissed off
mushrooms, and grow through dropping spores. So what sort of unpleasantness
does that lead to when an infected Ork spreads spores... Even harder to stop
    than the usual bugs...
