(still) more questions... Plague Engine

Speaking about the Plague Engine (and other Chaos cards and troops
who spreads the Plague)... The Chaos codex says: "Models destroyed by
this weapon are not removed and are instead turned over on their
side. At the start of each subsequent orders phase (before orders are
placed) place a barrage template on each Plague Engine destroyed
model. Any models touched by the template will be infected by the
plague on a roll of 4+ on a D6 and must make an unmodified save to
avoid destruction."

The plague spreads even among non-living creatures? Example:
Tarantulas, Wraithguards, Robots ecc. ecc.

Speaking of unliving creatures... Eldar Titans are crewed or guided
by the Spirit Stones? Can they be affected by the Plague? If yes,
which is the "unmodified save to avoid destruction"?
