Hi!

True, but you can just wipe out those 6 orks and then fire normally at
the nobz or maneuver so as to get the nobz closer. Or assault the 6 ork
stands then shoot the ones behind. At least it can be done. Then again
the orks enjoy very few potent units, the nobz being the first coming to
mind, so I don't mind them using it this way.

I played with the thought of lower to hits or a penalty, problem with
that is that you get unrealistic firing with volcano cannons and other
such "good to hit" weapons at HQ's. The nine rule invalidates that ploy.

Steve gave me another good idea for targeting HQ's, its basically the
equivalent of giving HQ's the "eldar scout" ability where HQ's cannot be
targeted at distances over 25cm. Of course this may give way to other
problems (HQ's taking building objectives and nobody being able to fire
at them until within 25cm, of course this may not be THAT bad of a
problem).

Hmm..at first I was VERY sceptical about this. But..I think this can
actually work well. I dont know if 9+ is too steep though. This still
gives
the situation where I can put 6 ork stands 30 cm from the enemy, and 10
nobz
(with big scary guns) 40 cm away and he cant do anything about the nobz
(fire towards them at these odds are completely wasted)
