I was just about to say, at least for Orks, they have
a better chance of crossing it at full throttle!

It would take a wide trench indeed to stop a tank from
crossing it.

For most tanks, this is probably unnecessary as it
would mean a lot more rolling for vehicular
detachments. But for superheavies such as a
Shadowsword or Gibletgrinda, this could be a very real
problem. They definitely should roll for crossing
trenches, especially since they are usually slower as
well as heavier.
