The thing is that by removeing the ability to regen in cc makes the game run
a lot smoother. we've done it for the last year or so, and it workes just
fine, no complaints from the regen units players!

There's no mention of it in the Tyranid or Chaos lists. In case of multiple
wound critters this would mean that people would have to keep track of how
the wounds were inflicted in them. Slann or Necrons don't have any such
critters, but Tyranids do. I've yet to see something requiring bookkeeping
to gain any support whatsoever in this list...
How about a new rule for the Necrons "I'll be back" or similar that means
they can't regenerate in CC as the power source it ripped out and the
existing regenerate rule that does allow regeneration in CC.
