In regards to regenerating creatures with multiple wounds, we have treated it as we do in RPG when fighting trolls. As long as the troll is alive and kicking it can regenerate, but once it is down, any roleplayer know how to keep it dead with fire and acid.
Same goes for a game of netepic, as long as the creature is standing, it can regenrate, but if it is turned on its side and there stil are units in base contact in the end phase, it is removed from play.
Works quite nice actually.
