This is the standard rule for battle-frenzied units, like Blood
Angels Death Company

No, it's merely a special ability, and functions only vs infantry,
cavalry and light artillery (as written)

Thousand Sons will have Chaos Magi instead of Chaos Champions (at
least is how I view them), and Demon Princes are just an upgraded
Chaos Magus, so qualify ;)
