Well, if the Assault Marines didn't get Rhinos then yes, you'd have a point.
As it is (starting in the Rhinos) regular Marines may charge (45+15=) 60 cm,
and Assault Marines (45+25=) 70 cm. Less significant than before, true, but
there's still a difference.
