Tyranids

Depressing. If you're fighting the Tyranids on the ground, you've already lost the planet. They arrive by the millions, infest the entire biosphere, devour everything and never, ever stop growing back. It's a biological version of the nanite plague, with teeth - if it happens, you lose.

No, it's not a very popular stance, but there are White Dwarf articles that describe Tyranids infesting a planet faster than a truck could drive away. An Aliens (the movie) background is ok for a mindless horde - the "unstoppable infestation" is just sad.
