Opinion....2nd - 3rd or Net Epic Edition?

So I am reading rules and geting aquainted with the game again and
was hoping some could speed up the process for me. I am form the 2nd
edition era of Epic rules...so they make sense to me. But whats the
main difference between 2nd Ed 3rd Ed and Net epic rules...and what
do the majority now play?
