[UPDATE] Changes to Epic40k.com and NetEPIC.org

Basically Epic40k.com is now pointing to our webserver, so it is under one financial package and thus is cheaper to maintain, reducing costs by about £100 a year. What will happen here is that there will be a main page which will go up tonight and will be accessable from www.netepic.org or www.epic40k.com will have two logos on it, allowing visitors to go to either site directly. They can then bookmark there favourite sites direct URL or continue to go through the main menu. Both sites will remain the same, there will be no change, the sites are NOT merging into one big site, they are just sitting on the same server.

Both sites will be remaining unique, but some parts could do with closer integration. For example the EZine contains articles which are relevant to both systems, and the news page is also relevant for both systems.

So I thinking perhaps set the EZine up as a seperate subdomain on it's own? Then we have purely Epic40k and NetEPIC articles on there own sites and then the more generic (eg, modelling, painting, reviews, etc) get migrated to the EZines domain. The news page is already integrated into the NetEPIC front page, and I will add the code to the Epic40k.com front page as well, so both sites are kept up to date with the latest EPIC news.

I could do with a vote on this guys... what is your opinions?

I will place a poll on the Epic and NetEPIC mailing lists and then merge the results to see what people think.
