No worry Peter, I understand Kelvin's point now. And I must add it
makes perfect sense. Epic is indeed not suited to reflect every
little rule cluttering W40K. I am also sensible to modeling issues
and the fact that (Forgeworld) Shield Drones are only available in
scarce numbers.

1. If you look at it differently, why is there any shield drone unit
at all? Since Kelvin considers it's part of a commander stand, we
could just "hardwire" them into the model profile and give it the
appropriate fixed save. Etheral and Tau commanders could be enhanced
a little bit (point wise and game wise) to reflect the additional
layer of protection given by shield drones.

2. I am not proposing changes for the sake of changes. If everybody
is happy with current drones, there is no need for a new rule, even
an optional one. Forget about my recent posts and that's all!
