I don't know for the Warhounds, but frankly, Revenants are quite
formidable and worth every of their 600 points. I'm not bound by the
initial price defined by GW for them, nor any hate for the faction
they belong to (I play Eldar) but from the experience of my last
battle, where I fielded a squadron. And I can say that at 600 points,
I'll field Revenants in every battle from now on.

Revenants are almost tougher than a Phantom, since they have similar
saving throws and a far more favourable hit location template (it's
very likely that a deviation misses the titan completely.) They have
the same holo-field and Revenants are, in addition, hard to hit on
charge orders. I can add that their base is smaller too.

Regarding firepower, the Revenant pulse laser is inferior to a
Pulsar, but the Revenant fields two of them, along with a missile
launcher and a rapid-fire anti-infantry weapon. I think that a pair
of Revenants packs far more firepower than a Phantom, which costs
more than them if you just add a Pulsar to the hull (and you still
have to purchase a second weapon and wing weapons.)

Yet, it's true that Revenants, as any holofield-protected war engine,
are subject to utter destruction on a lucky shot. I send my
sincere sympathy to the poor Eldar player who lost his units on the
first turn. Yet, if it's certainly an issue if you have bad luck,
this reasoning holds true for all Eldar Titans and Knights. Hence all
Eldar Titan and Knight costs should be decreased for the same
inconsistency of their respective holofields.

If you can lose a Revenant on turn one, the same can be said of any
Phantom or Warlock titan - but with Revenants, you still have the
second one up and running.

I can't decide for the whole community but I know that I'll still
count my Revenants at 600 points when I build an Eldar army. 600, no
less.

Sorry for the lenght of my arguments :)
