No, they have their own fleets, enough to transport them to battle sites.
Marines are a fast strike force, able to being quickly redeployed.
About army reduction, you're right: they've been cut to 10 companies
each chapter to limit the power of single army commanders, while IG
armies, much more powerful, need the Imperial Fleet to move from their
planets (so a treason is much less likely).

Looking at the number of successor chapters, at the end of the Heresy, the
Loyal Legions counted:

Ultramarines: 13.000 (the cowards never took part in the good smashing!)
Blood Angels: 6.000
White Scars: 5.000
Dark Angels: 4.000 (plus about 3.000 *BEEEP* IMFORMATION RESERVED!)
Raven Guard: 4.000
Imperial Fist: 3.000
Iron Hands: 3.000
Salamanders: Under Reconstruction
Space wolves: ignote.

Some of these, before the heresy, counted about 15.000 men (my assumption).
However there were no fixed number to the Marines: the more the better!

True, they're putting aside old fluff, allowing every 40k Codex writer to
invent new, inaccurate and even silly things, but, much worse, deliberately
keeping background out of the game. They say it adds to mistery... Bleah.
Many of us started GW games just attracted by background...

I won't be able to make one... Are you saying "feeding Him the souls of 1000
psykers every day"? It has been kept, IIRC...

>What is the blackship?

One of the ships that carry the captured rogue Psykers to Terra.

>What is the name of the primarch of the Ultra marines?

Last time I checked it was something like "Roboute Guiiliarm".
But the, how many times the name of the Dark Angels Primarch has been changed?

>Who is the "youngest" of the chaos gods?

Easy, Slaanesh.
However his name had been kept out from Codex Eldar. They just talk of a
"fall".
Seems that those skimpies don't like to remember what they did 15.000 years
ago.

>How many can you get?

Depending. Form 3 to 5.000, varying from the day...

What I won? ;)

(reads the following post).
Damn, I arrived second.

Be unpredictabe. If your opponent doesn't know what to expect from you,
he won't be able to counter-act poperly.
