Point taken. but how do you represent that, without too many rules?
Another idea as pointed out is to use the standard combat system, but
non-titan units add +1 not a full d6 per extra combatant. Or course this
means a lot of infantry is going to get killed before they reach a high
enough CAF bonus. Is it that different from whats already been proposed?
The probelm is that they made titans pretty weak in space marine. Titans in
AT and even epic40k are a LOT stronger than net epic equivalens even with
all the help we have given them. While we dont want super-units, isn't a
titan, that is worth a lot of points be at least capable of handling a like
amount of troops in close combat? The present rules dont reflect that
unfortunately.
I like the proposed rules, but if it is felt strongly its too over kill just
give those who have a save an oportunity to do so (if they have one)
otherwise the balance is too much in favor of the infantry in close combat
versus titans.
