Titan close combat-alot of rules!

Hi!

The time is approaching for a vote and these are the main alternatives that
are in the pipeline:

1. Darius rule, which is a combination of standard close combat rules.
Defense system kills of infantry on 5+, 4+ for elites and then the survivors
go for the standard close combat romp.

2. Ed's modification of the current titan defense rules, where the save
modifier is dependant on the "class" of the unit.

3. Warprat's idea, where infantry roll 1d6 per stand plus combines CAF,
versus the titans 2d6 plus double his CAF. Compare the rolls, if the
infantry score is higher, one hit is achieved per multiple. Saves for the
infantry are related directly to the amount of hits scored the more hits the
better chance of living. Zero hits means they are destroyed. Vehicles are
too awkward and always die.

Are there any other ideas or variants besides these?
