Wow!
This was a lot of respons to my question. I've been away for 2 days and my
mailbox was FULL! I haven't the time to read it all carefully, but as I
understand it winds down to:
1) Include the TG into the IG armylist
2) Limit Imperial allies to 25 % of the core force
I like the idea of 25%, but I think we shall honor the background and
history of the 40K universe and keep TG as a list of it own.
Maybe the time has come to put it to a vote?

Hi!
Hmmm.. I think I would agree with the fact that perhaps the IG list should
include both tech guard and SOB. Much like the Slann you can designate a
"core" and take up to 25% of other forces. This way you can mix and have a
pure army.
How is that?

well if you read the Eldar codex you'll find that the TG fight with the
Exodus Eldar all the time thus making there own army, but, as you said the
Emporur would call on any and all of his forces. Just the plain fact of them
getting to one point at one time seems tough. Seeing as he might be calling
on the say blood marines to be at a battle, with the fact they are 15,000
light years away at the same time the orcks are smashing down the gates to
the plantes leaders door. Yes they should be allowed allies in the whole
Imp, SM, and TG army but to some limit.
