Re: [NetEpic ML] New Member
Hi Warren,
It's nice to see a fellow Brit on here, we are few and far between ! The most suitable figures I can think of for IG Air-cav are some of the Ground Zero Games flyers, if you haven't already seen them. Special Vehicle Force used to do something suitable too, but since Ainsty took over I think they got dropped. I can't say that I have seen anything like an Osprey, I think the nearest would be the squat gyrocopters.
Welcome to the group,
Graham

Hello Guys
My name is Warren and I,m from England. I saw your group via the Net Epic site and being interested I decided to join.
I collect Imperial Guard and Orks and that is were my main interests lay. My IG force is mechanised with the IG 'Grenadiers' in Rhinos.
I am looking for rules for 'Tac Air Ops' for IG, and models for air transport for the IG, making a form of 'Air Cav', any suggestions. I was thinking of using a suitably sized Osprey, tilt propeller aircraft? Any thoughts?
Also in the idea stage are Amphibious/Brown Water Ops, there are some nice SciFi resin model boats in the UK. But I am also thinking of trying converted Chimeras and Leman Russ/Predators, putting hovercraft skirts on them instead of tracks? Any thoughts? I must give credit for planting this idea in my head to writer of the 'WetEpic' site who has devised some of his own. This site is on the GW Gateway.
Being a new boy and having a look at the things on offer, what do you think I should use NetEpic or Heresy? I'm not a big fan of E40K and those blast markers.
I look forward to talking to you guys.
Warren
