Hi!
Officialy you CAN fire into the deep woods, but all firing should be
considered indirect since there is no real line of sight to the center of
the woods.
To not permit this would give highly unrealistic tactics of hiding in woods
to the impunity of any kind of firing, thats not fair at all. Granted close
combat is the best method to get them out, but barrages are and should be
effective in weeding them out.
