Hi!

Oops! Well that what I get for not having unlimited memory! <grin>

It begs the question, should this still stand? In any event, I would not
apply this to the necron titan.

Of course I don't know what the follow up was, too many things said like
this die on the vine, this may be one. I think at this point in time with
the changes made and what we know, I'd leave self-repair function against
any physical attack regardless of source, it is a physical force after all.

Opinions?

Hi!

I concurr that the bolt of change would deny the necron unit self
repair. Of course now we need to be specific on what it can save against
and what it cannot.

I'd say the following: "Necron self repair works against any attack that
is NOT psychic in nature or close combat".

How's that?

Peter

Hi!

Thanks for clarifying this. Nils and Trygve (who played
the united chaos forces) were 100% sure that i didnt
get a save!

 . !

There was some talk about an article
posted here or something. I dont remember, i was
really tired after having played for 14 hours...
Nils being a more experienced player than
me, i caved in. Of course, im sure Nils didnt intend
to cheat me, but im rather pissed at him none the less...

Hi!

First of all, the necron titan has no shields so I assume you are
referring to it self-repair ability. The self-repair cannot
be bypassed
by any poer/rule I am aware of. So after you get hit and
determine hit
location, it would get its self repair. The bottom line is
this IS its
defense against some weapons since they negate his armor
save. So on a
3+ you ignore the beam of power. Most armies have at least
one weapons
like this. During my game with Darius his squat cyclops weapon acted
like a "beam of power", my only defense was its self r!

 ep!

air
and that was
at 4+, but still made it. A 3+ fixed repair roll goes a long
way against
this.

My curiousity is why it was rules that you were not entitled
to a repair
save? Whats the rational? Nothing it epic negates
repair/regeneration,
besides close combat.

A question about this. The Chaos Primarch Magnus the Red

has a physical

psychic
attack, 2+ -6 100cms range, +3 damage on

titans/praetorians. Now, this

wouldnt
be so bad if one had shields, but according to our chaos

opponents, the

repair
shield function of the Necron Titan doesnt work against

on a hit
on any location (which isnt hard, just roll a 2+ and point

at the middle),

the titan
gets a save at 7+ (at best). The roll of the damage die has

to be 3 to

destroy the
titan. My question is, do you think this is fair? A below

average roll will

always
destroy the Necron titan. According to our esteemed chaos

players, i didnt

get the 3+ psy save, because it was a physcial psychic

attack, and i didnt

get the 3+ shield repair (this had apparently been resolved

some months ago

in some discussion or other with Darius, i dont know which

one). I thought

Physical psychic attacks was some kind of force attacking

your person,

like a weapon, on psychic in origin. Now, if thats so, how

come i didnt get

my 3+ shield save?
Now, the titan costs 750 points, and Magnus costs 300. Do the math.

You are correct I did mention that. Please edit the titan's

template to

reflect that. The psy save is 3+, like all other slann titans.

Hi!

Can someone please summarise the rules for how infantry etc.
attack Titans? It'd be great with a clarification :)

Also, is it possible for chaos to take over robots/necrons with
their power? Dont remember what its called, but it allows
it to take over "any unit" within 25cms. When you can put
the buggers in rhino's and charge 50cms with them in
the first round, 25cms is alot, and affecting any unit then
is just downright cheesy. It would mean f.ex, that
the Necron !

 Ti!

tan (which has no shields) could be
taken over without a save. Now, thats just plain
old Jarlsberg im smelling! :)
Also, the chaos rot power says it affects all units.
Were these cards made before Praetorians/Titans came
into the picture? On!

 ce!

 again, you charge your legion
50cms, and everything within 15cms of it has to
save or die when the power is used. Everything!
Now, in a large battle, say 10k, this will be devastating.
Im sure the rot is really the reek of really old, moldy cheese ;)
Id like some clarifications on the chaos powers, and
what they can and cant do please :)
