I've never faced the nids, but I quite enjoy spanking squats with my chaos
army.
I tend to field a fast-moving chaos army, moving in on the little guys and
unleashing the chaos powers. Especially my old friend Nurgle performs very
well, get close enough and breathe them to death... Just make sure he can't
see too many of your units in the first turn...
Also, juggers are great for taking out your opponent's
superheavies/praetorians...
