I find primer brings out detail. Try using either the GW brand or the
humbrol primers...I like GW better, but it costs a lot. A good example, I
just bought Golgotha (A warzone figure, shes one ugly Nepharite) I
thought the figure was nice and detailed until I primed it, now it looks
incredible, and I haven't even started painting it.
