SUPPORT DROP POD - 25 points (max. 5)
WEAPONS FIRE ARC RANGE FP NOTES
Plasma Cannon All Round 60cm (1) Place barrage template. Roll to hit all
units under
template ignoring Armour bonuses for cover. Each
attack places an additional Blast marker on target.
DEATHWIND DROP POD - 50 points (max 5.)
WEAPONS FIRE ARC RANGE FP NOTES
Deathwind Launcher All Round 20cm (1) Roll to hit all units that are
within range ignoring
Armour bonuses for cover. One use only.
Wouldn't that endanger nearby Deathwind drop pods?
Also, that is one heck of a lot of super heavy weapons dropping down
anywhere on the table, 25 or 50 pts. or not. A maximum of ten if I
understand correctly (5 of each type) on the first turn, assuming they all
fire, then five on the second turn...
The mice here are getting excited...

RULES
If any Space Marine detachment consists only of Space Marine infantry units
it may be deployed using drop pods. See the Scenario Special Rules section
in the Battles Book for details of using drop pods. Additionally, if a
detachment is deployed using drop pods it may also use the special Support
and Deathwind drop pods at the stated points, upto the maximum permitted.
Before the normal drop pods are deployed, any Deathwind drop pods are
deployed as normal and any units within range are attacked. Work out any
hits/damage before deploying the Support and Troop drop pods.
