I'd liek to bring up a point here: customizeable Titans, with
appropriate points cost. I'm not sure where you people stand on that
matter at the moment, nor if you've looked ahead to that, but it would
certainly be a nice capability to include. After all, one of the best
ways to avoid having people load out their (say) Warlords with two
one-shots and/or a Plasma Destructor is to give individual costs per
weapon for the Titan. Whether you want to go so far as Adeptus
Titanicus did or not (allowing the player to customize the number of
shots a weapon could fire in a turn, up to a certain max) is another
question.
However, if you do give different PV (points values) for weapons you
could end up with some rather odd totals; I think this might be
partially why EPIC started off with such high values, it was a holdover
from AT. For example, an Eclipse Warlord cost ~630 points, while a
Death Bringer cost 1000 and a Nemesis cost 1340. If you want to know
what each was capable of using, I can tell you, but the design system
needs a fair bit of background... you bought "grades" of weapons for
the Titans, each grade representing one or two shots, etc. I don't know
that you'd want to return to the complex Titan design rules, but you
should keep in mind that restricting the weapons to (effectively) 25
point increments might incur the same penalties on some Titan weapons
that people complain about with units now, ie, under or over cost.

Incidentally, I'd like to speak up in favor of not necessarily removing
half-point hosing. While I agree that giving 2 VPs for 150 points of,
say, Eldar Guardians is not fair (and one reason why I don't see them),
I think I've earned those 2 VPs fair & square if I've just offed a unit
of Bloodletters. After all, to kill three of them, you actually have to
kill 4.5 of them -- effectively, the whole troop! That's a better break
point than the Squats get! ^_- And while the regeneration may be
accounted for in the points cost, I don't think the half point hose
hurts them at all.
