Sauron1 writes; Setting down in his command chair, to rest his tired bones
after a long climb up from the storage catacombs, Sauron open a dusty long
forgotten tomb, written by scribes out of the far East on parchment so old
the leaves of witch threatened to dissolve into powder under his touch. He
read;

        Anyway In Rogue Trader, written by Rick Priestly 1987 second printing

There is a small unit action in the back of the book. The Space marine
players briefing is as follows;

        The planetof Ryan's world lies edge of human space, within easy striking
distance of the countless Ork Warlords that rule the neiboring
systems.<skip Orks>Until now Rynn's world has been left in piece. The main
reason for this is almost certainly that it is the home of theChrimson Fist
chapter of Space Marines, who's fortress/monastery has stood on the rock
soil of Rynn's world for over a thousand years. However, last week empire
of Charadon. The insane Ork warlord, one Snagrod the Arch arsonist <snip
ork stuff>Rynn's world was only sparsely populated,but (prior to the
invasion) had a complete and effective missile-defense system designed to
deter would be invaders. Confident on the power of their defenses (and
forgetting the irrational behavior of Orks)no-one anticipated the invasion.
Even so, all would have gone well were it not for the freak accident that
caused a defense missile to glance off-course and plunge right down on top
of the Space Marine Arsenal. The Marine base and its compliment of
fightingmen and machines was completely destroyed. The only survivors
where the chapter leader Commander Pedro Cantor and fifteen marines.

        See having those old guys from before the dawn of time around comes in
handy sometimes. Kinda like the Squats Longbeards. Anyway thats the story.
The rouge trader has a picture on the front of a last stand of Imperial
Fist marines in a circle, surrounded by Orks and firing in all directions.
It is the same picture they used on the box of 30 25mm beaky style SM they
released at the same time.
