I really liked it, I thought it fair and (very) thourough.

Sabres are a Rhino STC, they have a hull mounted Fixed autocannon, and
increased armour plating, they were used as fast suppport vehicles, I
cannot remember the battle specifice, but it had something to do with
reclaiming a bridge from the orks.
Spartans were another vehicle introduced the month after Sabres. Both
were conversions in which you needed a Land Raider an Rhino and a few
bits. The Spartan is a LR conversion with an extended hull and increased
armour used as a transport for Terminators (Originally Ultramarine) in
spearhead assaults.
I loved the conversions that WD used to print, they even (Issue 122 I
think) had the instructions for making a baneblade from scratch. I bought
a 40k razorback, and have used it as a Rhino, a razorback and using the
conversions a Whirlwind and a Vindicator...
