Oh, very much so. The Inquisitions work is never finished... I should mention
that these forces were my opposition; I was playing an imperial gaurd force which
was, I think, constructed along very orthodox lines.

The thing is, the people I play with are mostly board wargamers, so they don't feel
very guilty about stretching the army lists. Plus, they aren't really very familiar
with the fine details of the setting. I try to encourage them to take appropriate
armies, but I mean, if the rules allow it, that's pretty much all I can do:
encourage.

Also, only I own any Epic models - we play with my stuff - so we use proxies as
much as we wish; because my friends don't always want to play Orks and Space
Marines. This can lead to some problems, such as mentioned below.

Just to demonstrate the sort of thing I see regularly, I'll describe the total army
I faced; it was chaos with some Ork allies, vs. Imperial Gaurd and Space Marines,
4000 points a side (so 2000 pts marines, 2000 pts gaurd). In addition to the two
detachments of greater daemons, they had:
20 chaos cultists/beastmen and 10 support weapons
10 Chaos Terminator Noise Marines (save, stubborn, heavy weapons) transported in 5
land raiders
A big ork detachment made up entirely of Shooty Boyz and Nobz, with enough battle
wagons to transport them all.
4 Kannons of Khorne
Two detachments of 4 firelords each, and another of 9 doomwings (yes, 700+ points
of flyers)
A mega-gargant
A warlord Titan (with HW battery, death ray, vortex missile, and mega-cannon)

I particularily disliked all of the infantry detachments. The cultists were
basically an excuse to take support weapons, and bodies to shield them from fire,
the Orks put all the Nobz at the front and all the Shooty Boyz at the back so they
suffered only 50% casualties from fire (except for the battlewagons), and I won't
even comment on the Noise Marine Terminators.

I have to admit that this army was pretty well the worst I've seen.

The funny thing was, we won anyway.

I agree that only one greater daemon should be taken per daemon pack; I have a
sneaking suspicion/hope that it's a misprint.
