You have some good points. However, it's my understanding that the
translation was not intended to be SM2 -> E40k but rather WH40k ->
E40k. Granted, Stompas don't exist in WH40k but from what I can tell
the designers felt free to tinker with anything that wasn't already
'set' in the 40k scale.

My experience fighting against Stompas has been that they can really
kick some ass. I think the Ork army is a very competitive army and I
wouldn't personally be inclined to tinker with much. I like the SAG
suggestion, but Stompas seem potent enough as is.

My personal inclination would be to increase the cost of Land Raiders to
40 points. Anything compared against a Land Raider at present is going
to look like it got screwed.
