Sauron Moridor <sauron1_at_...> came forth and spoke thusly:
> So how do the long awaited Imperial Guard infantry sprues look? Are they
>copies of 25mm figure ranges as in Catachan jungle fighters, etc., or
>generic troops as the originals. The 'fluff" still states that the troops,
>Catachan et all,are specialists to the generic Imperial guard,{ which they
>no longer make.}
I'm not sure... there aren't any actual pictures of the sprue. However,
by using the power of the sight, I shall look further. <rustling of
pages> Most of the ones I see look like Valhallan Ice Warriors, but
look! Catachan Jungle Fighters too... The heavy weapon teams are
Valhallan, with ickle spotters crouching beside them (they go on a
normal base). Those are the only ones shown.
> Are they going to make us believe IG infantry can no longer carry their
>heavy weapons on their shoulders as they have done for the past 10,000
>years? Are there the variations in Chimera still around? Or is the Capital
>Imperialus up for re-release?
Chimeras are here in many different variations, but if you mean 'Do the
chimeraxs, chimedons, chimerros, etc. still exist', then no. Capitol
Imperialis isn't here, but neither is the Leviathan.
> I guess you could say I am eagerly awaiting the new IG to increase the
>three infantry companies I currently field.
Woohoo! The models look much better, so your previous stands will look a
little poor beside them, IMAO.
Oh yes, one other thing. Apparently for every blast marker on a det, it
loses 1 barrage or heavy barrage attack, rather than subtracting it from
the firepower. Thought you'd like to know.
