I don't have stats handy, but aren't Warlock titans +14 (or is it +12)?
Doom halves a target's CAF. Against a Warlord that's +14 vs +8 (+6 against
a slasher or reaver, I think). Not to mention the fact that you knew you
were planning this, while your opponent didn't, so you probably have
additional models to throw into the mix. Personally, I'll take those odds.

So let's look at how effective the powerfist is when (not if) you win . . .

you roll a one - 1/6 chance of destroying the titan outright, 1/6 chance of
doing normal damage, 4/6 (2/3) no damage
two - 1/3 outright destruction, 1/6 normal, 1/2 none
three - 1/2 destruction, 1/6 normal, 1/3 none
four - you get the picture

It adds up to:
destruction: 21/36 outright destruction
normal damage: 5/36 normal damage
no damage: 10/36 no damage

Just shy of a 2/3 chance of outright destruction is hardly Orky. And when
you add the possibility of normal damage destroying the titan, t becomes
darn close to 2/3 (17/27, if you go for the reactor and I calculated
correctly, plus another small chance that the reactor will blow at the end
of the turn). Considering that just this weekend I had a Reaver titan
outfitted for close combat (chainfist, cc head, and chaos whip) in hth with
a warhound for two complete turns and did no more than force it to make
repair rolls, I think that the powerfist is not so horrible. If you're
making a titan hunter, it's a pretty good deal, as is the laser burner.

Does anyone else think the laser burner should at least get a few 15 or 25cm
shots?
