Umm, no. He has never defeated me whilst I use an Imperial army. Come to
think of it, he has never defeated me. He has a similar problem in WH40K

But I have still managed to stall a whole flank, even if this force is
overun. The whole idea in fighting Tyranids (in Epic or WH40K) is to stall
their advance and pound them before they get anywhere near you. If they get
onto your back line, you are dead.
I know a guy who does both Eldar and Chaos (he is perverse) and he LOVES
close combat. But he has not fought Tyranids that much. He keeps telling
me about super Exarchs or awesome Champions. I say no! In general,
Tyranids will take apart anything in close combat, In WH40K, he was talking
about taking Khorne Berserkers against the Tyranids, for smeg's sake!
