Thank you for your thoughts. I do agree, 48 LR's would be rather cheesy. I
normally run other detachments besides the 10 LR + Vindicators. I try to
mix up my troops and vehicles. I'm very much enjoying trying different
combinations of troops and vehicles to see what works. :)
For the 10 LR det. I like, the guy I normally game with enjoys larger tank
style battles. So between us, it's not really cheese because we kindof have
a unwritten agreement. My main purpose of the original post was to see
what peoples opinion was in regards to using a large detachment or two or
more smaller detachments. What were the pros and cons to either one.
Also, as for the attitude of win at all cost,,,Hell, I very rarely win
because I'm just not a strategic kindof guy. I game to have fun. If I win,
that's ok or if I lose, that's ok also. I have more fun with the
camaraderie and smack talking that goes on in the store I game in. :) Now,
if someone cheeses me for no reason, I will remember if there is ever a
rematch, but I think that's true for everyone.

I just got home from a 5000pt game where my opponent had 48!!! land
raiders. I was initially intimidated but managed to overcome this. From my
point of view, and
my partners, huge LR detachments can be really cheesey. (sorry RBS). It
could just be me, but I hope not, I get no real satisfaction from
winning a battle by using only "the best" an army has to offer.
