There are good, working, functional army list for Squats under Epic 40K
available now. Just because some of us don't work for GW doesn't mean we
havn't been around as long (or even longer) than some of their games
designers and arn't capable of coming up with working rules. They only need
to be accepted by your regular opponents to be official within your games.
Who cares wether GW stamps them as official or not, it doesn't make the
rules any better nessisarily or the games any more enjoyable. Check out
Chris Pinson's web page Liber Imperialis, it now has a Squat subpage called
Warlords devoted to the stumpy ones in Epic 40K with a set of armylists
taken from Citadel Journel and then adapted through play testing and through
general concensus on this list. They work as is shown by the narrative on
the site for the Liberation of Karak Dur, a campaign that Chris and I are
fighting between Squats and Imperial forces which has already had 2 major
3000pt battles and 2 of our "minibattles" (see webpage or Dropship Issue
1.). Incedently for those following the campaign, I won the second
minibattle (reinforcments) and now go into tomorrows 3000 pt dawn assualt
with an extra 250pts of defenders.
Cheers
Alun
