FYI, there was a British SS unit!!
They were called 'The Lionhearts', as well as standard SS insignia, their
specific unit badge was three gold lions ala King Richard The Lionheart.
Their wages were paid into Swiss bank accounts so that their families could
use the money.
The Lionhearts only fought against the Russians.
After the war, the remaining Lionhearts were pardoned, cos they didnt fight
British or US troops, and officially disappeared.
