From the list of games you've mentioned, seem to be looking for games
of conflict (as against business strategy or other genres - correct me
if I'm wrong).
Shogun - MB Games. Much better that Axis and Allies
Titan - Avalon Hill
Full Metal Planete - If you can find it. A French game with great
metal playing pieces.
Dune - Avalon Hill. Another classic.
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century TSR . Again, if you can find it. Needs
a little tweaking, but has great potential.
Amoeba Wars - Avalon Hill. Probably out of print.
Stellar Conquest - Avalon Hill Great game.
Pax Imperialis - Got this game a couple of weeks ago. Has some very
nice game mechanics.
These are just off the top of my head.
If you are interested in games other that 'war' board games, let me
know (I have a large collection of board games - about a thousand at
the last count) There are lots of interesting games out there that
don't involve killing things, just pitting your wits against other
players. The best board game designers seem to be German (there is a
thriving board gane industry in Germany)
